"Triumph of truth": AAP ecstatic as SC granted temporary bail to Arvind Kejriwal.

NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party was overjoyed with the Supreme Court's decision to give temporary release to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying it was a victory for truth and will bolster the party's campaign for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election.
Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in an excise policy-related money laundering case and has been in Tihar prison since April 1. Following the Supreme Court's decision to allow him temporary release till June 1 to campaign for the party, the AAP national convener is expected to emerge late Friday evening after completing the procedures.

Gopal Rai, AAP's Delhi state leader, told a press conference that Kejriwal was detained without any proof against him. "His release from the jail will strengthen our fight to save democracy and the Constitution," Rai stated.
Atishi, a Delhi minister and top AAP functionary, stated that the Supreme Court plays a crucial role anytime democracy is threatened.

"A free and fair election serves as the cornerstone of a democracy. We have a dictatorial government at the Centre that is attempting to eliminate the opposition, democracy, and the Constitution. I encourage people to rescue their nation and democracy. "This is your last chance, so vote accordingly," Atishi stated.
