PM Modi intends to nominate from Varanasi today, for a third term.


On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to submit his candidacy for the third time from the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha constituency of Varanasi. Modi will attend a meeting with BJP employees before to submitting the nomination form, and he will worship at Dashwamedh Ghat on the Ganga River's banks.

Today, the Prime Minister will do Ganga Aarti. On the social networking site "X," he posted a video in which he discussed his connection with "Kashi." Modi remarked, “"My relationship with my Kashi is fantastic, inseparable and unparalleled... all I can say is that it cannot be described in words!"

On Monday night, Prime Minister Modi led a five-kilometer parade through Varanasi. BJP state president Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were among those who accompanied him.

PM Modi won the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency twice, in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The seat is regarded as a bastion for the Saffron Party. Ajay Rai has been nominated by the Congress from this seat.

The population of Varanasi is 75% Hindu, 20% Muslim, and 5% of other religions. Scheduled Castes make up 0.7% of the population, while Scheduled Tribes make up almost 10% of it.

With 6,74,664 votes and a vote share of 63.6%, PM Modi won the seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He ran for two Lok Sabha constituencies in 2014: Varanasi, in Uttar Pradesh, and Vadodara, in Gujarat.

The current Member of Parliament and BJP candidate from Varanasi is Narendra Modi. The seat's Lok Sabha elections are set for June 1 during the seventh round of the elections.
